I am a long term holder in AVG. I think one of the problems with the market is recognising the deals they do , which is fair enough as they haven’t sold anything for sometime. They buy companies , sometimes on their knees, turn them around and in some cases sell them on. They have a parcel of land, reputedly worth a few million. That’s capital tied up, but shrewd enough to wait for the right buyer. They are ready to sell one of their engineering companies and once Magnetica gets approval in the USA they may well look to either selling the two new medical companies having seen them to the commercial stage or possibly IPO them . Fair to say there is plenty of hidden value along with their very productive businesses
Cheers Simon, yes, it's that hidden value and the complexity of AVG that just makes it way too difficult for me to look deeper, but fair play to those that do as it could well indeed be worth much more than the market is valuing it at present.
Thanks Jon. I very much value all the reports you guys do. A dose of reality on the figures is very good for me. I do get a bit carried away by potential sometimes!
Thanks Jon, it’s always good to find new ideas for screening shares that are worth further research. Cracking job here and writing the SCVR
Thanks for the feedback and kind comment - Most welcome
I’ll be there. I once lived in Chiswick.
Hope to bump into !
